Fourth pole for Kucharczyk (BVM) in much cooler conditions

Tymek Kucharczyk took his fourth pole of the season this morning at Circuit Paul Ricard. The Polish driver of BVM Racing emerged as victor from the close fight with Motopark’s Yevan David and Fernando Barrichello in a session held in completely different conditions from the previous days. The skies are overcast and temperature has dropped to 27°. A few drops of rain also fell during the session.

These are the conditions that Barrichello likes and the Brazilian topped the rankings up to the final attempt, when he was passed by David and then Kucharczyk. The Pole posted a time of 1.54.617, beating his rivals by 0s297 and 0s386 respectively.

“Conditions were completely different today, so the set-up was a little bit of a guess”, said Tymek Kucharczyk, “but at the end I tried and it worked”.

Jose Garfias (Motopark) was a soid fourth (+0s461), ahead of the best-placed Nielsen Racing car, the one of Ed Pearson (+0s749) and Preston Lambert, who debuts in the other BVM car (0s801).
