Kucharczyk (BVM) precedes David (Motopark) in very warm free practice

With no surprise given the period of the year, it was  a torrid free practice at Circuit Paul Ricard for the Euroformula contenders.  In these conditions, two of the title contenders shone, with Tymek Kucharczyk posting the best lap time in the morning session. The Pole of BVM Racing stopped the clock in 1.56.047 in the afternoon session.

Second-fastest was Yevan David (Motopark) 0s552 off, with what was the fastest lap time in the morning session,  ahead of teammates Everett Stack +0s552) and Jose Garfias (+0s(78).

Preston Lambert made a good debut in the second BVM Racing car, being fifth-fastest (+0s595), while the  other debuting driver, Argentina’s Gino Trappa (17), who joins from Spanish and Brazilian F.4 and is a last-minute substitute for Shawn Rashid at Nielsen Racing was tenth (+1s826).

It was not a rewarding day for championship leader Michael Shin (Motopark), who was eighth, 1s087 from the top.
